Varansi is the ancient city located in North India,Uttarpradesh. This city is spread between the rivers Varun and Asi. That is why it is called varanasi. This Place is the seat of Lord Siva. One who dies here attain mukdhi or motsha ( no rebirth). It is on the river bank of Ganga. The Ganga water is adulterated in so many ways,still the water is harmless . I could not feel any fish bite in the Ghats, when we take bath. We can see many birds flying very close to the water to pick up the offerings .

Here you won't feel sorrow on seeing the dead body. Here Life and death meets without sorrow.

we heard about Harichandra in ancient story, who suffered a lot due to behold the truth and guarded the cremation ground .The place where he guarded the cremation ground is a ghat in Varanasi , called Harichandra paduka( feet). We visited that place in the night by walking from our chettiar chatram where we stayed.
